United Way, DeKalb Health Foundation joint campaign begins Monday

AUBURN — The United Way of DeKalb County and the DeKalb Health Foundation have planned a joint 2016 campaign that will kick off Monday with United Way presentations to employees at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 5 p.m.

Tuesday employees can make a donation or pledge that will give them the opportunity to take their chance at dunking select leadership staff in a dunk tank.

Wednesday they will hold a car wash for employees who pledge or donate.

Thursday and Friday, a book sale will be held to raise money.

DeKalb Health has set a goal to raise $15,000. CEO Craig Polkow and CFO Bret Claghorn will wear thermometer ties to represent the goal. Each day a portion of the tie will be cut off. By Friday, if they are left with nothing but a tie knot, it will indicate they have reached their goal.

“United Way is excited for the opportunity to partner with DeKalb Health and the foundation. I hope this will generate excitement for employees and give them a chance to give back to their communities,” said Amanda Davis, executive director for United Way of DeKalb County.
