National Mentoring Program

National Mentoring Program

The National Mentoring Program matches adult positive role models with mentees ages 9-17 that are at risk for academics for 1-3 years.   The students are referred through the school systems.

The goal is to increase school attendance and grades as well as prevent truancy and other at-risk behaviors.

Mentors must be interviewed, complete a  background check, and have fingerprints done.  8 hours of training are required.
