The Northeastern Indiana Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA), a 501c3 Indiana State Non-Profit, is seeking to hire an Executive Director starting October 2018.  CASA provides advocacy services for children involved in Juvenile Court proceedings (or custody disputes) due to abuse or neglect.  The program is administered in accordance with the National and State CASA mission, goals, and policies.  This is a full time position reporting to the Board of Directors and is based in Albion, Indiana.

Position Overview:

The Executive Director is charged with the responsibility of implementing the overall mission and polices of the Northeastern Indiana CASA Program.  These include:

  • General Administration
  • Volunteer Recruitment, Training, Supervision, Support
  • Financial Management
  • Personnel Management
  • Fundraising and Grant Writing
  • Strategic and Budget Planning
  • Management of Ethical and Legal Standards and Certifications
  • Public/Community Relations
  • Board Relations
  • Work Effectively with the Courts


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent of four years of work experience in a human service organization that serves children and families.
  • Prior supervisory experience with both volunteers and employees.
  • Established skills in interpersonal relations, such as communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities.
  • Demonstrated fundraising experience, such as special events.
  • Proven program management skills, such as financial management and program development.  Grant writing experience is desirable.
  • Literacy in basic computer programs, such as word processing and email is necessary.
  • Commitment to the mission of the agency. This includes, but is not limited to:
          *If not already a trained child advocate, employee must complete the CASA Volunteer training curriculum within the first 6 (six) months of their employment.
